Our mission is to demonstrate the values of heaven on earth among the unreached and those affected by poverty, violence and oppression. We do this by equipping the body of Christ to walk in the power, love and character of Jesus, and by bringing transformation through strategic, collaborative relationships spanning diverse geographical, societal and religious spheres.
Joel & Laci, the founders of Glad World, have been living in Asia since 2013. They have a longterm base in Phuket, Thailand where they are raising their two sons. Their covering and sending church is Bethel Church in Redding, California. They have ministered in over 20 different nations and travel regularly throughout Asia and beyond to raise up followers of Jesus as joyful catalysts of revival in their land. They emphasize the simplicity of the gospel of Jesus and believe that complete societal transformation comes from the realities and simple truths found in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. God has demonstrated His faithfulness as, “…the blind see, the lame walk…and the good news is proclaimed to the poor!”
THE FAMILY
All across the world, there is a growing, organic community of individuals who are gripped by a passion for the presence of God and a drive to see His power and love poured out in the furthest reaches of the earth. We are serving South Thailand, as well as other regions throughout the country by partnering with the Holy Spirit and Thai believers to see a move of God birthed from within this nation. We, along with key leaders in the nation, are holding regional gatherings focused on encountering the Holy Spirit, equipping the saints, and unifying as one family under one Father. Located on the island of Phuket, we are working together with the Thai community to cultivate an environment of ongoing worship and high praise to Jesus. HIMALAYAS
The Himalayan region is called by God to be set apart as a high place of the manifest presence of God - a living example of His kindness. We are partnering with locals and long term people on the ground to serve through equipping believers to walk together in the power and love of Jesus in these extreme and remote places.
CONFLICT ZONES
We are engaging in Southeast Asian conflict zones to partner with a movement that prays for and proactively loves their enemies. We are working with indigenous peoples in these areas through relational connection, prayer, teaching and equipping, and humanitarian aid. In addition to this, we are working to spread Jesus’ message of loving enemies abroad within the global church through online resources, teaching, prayer movements and benevolence movements.
Glad World is a collaborative, missional nonprofit organization. We are people with a joyful passion for the presence of God, and a heartbeat with His passion for the world. As an organization, it exists to serve a growing international community of relationally connected, missional people who are pursuing revival in the nations. We serve this movement through the demonstration and perpetuation of three primary core values: passion for the presence of God, mission, and kingdom family.
As the Holy Spirit is being poured out around the world, a generation is arising who walk in God's presence like few have in history. When we learn to host His presence, we learn to walk as Jesus walked. Not only in power, but most importantly in close, intimate connection to the Father. We seek to empower believers to walk in deeper intimacy with Him and to release His manifest presence through miracles, signs and wonders, and all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We believe this is the key to the explosive and unstoppable expansion of the Kingdom of God in some of the darkest places on earth. Sometimes this looks like ministering in churches or conferences, but we have also found that exponential fruit comes as we walk side by side with one another in long term covenant friendship, healing the sick and demonstrating the Good News of Jesus among the unreached. Supernatural breakthrough spreads virally in this way. The Holy Spirit is raising up a multitude of everyday revivalists all across the world!
Everything we do has the emphasis of knowing God and bringing as many people as we can reach into a vibrant, loving relationship with Jesus Christ. The veil must be lifted for every man, woman, and child to see Him for who He is, and to experience His compassionate power over every evil thing in their lives; freedom from sin and its effects, deliverance from demonic oppression, and healing from every kind of disease. The gospel of the Kingdom must be preached in every corner of the earth. Why should so many hear the gospel twice, when some have not heard it once?
The Kingdom of God is a family Kingdom with a Father and many children! We do not choose our family as we do our friends, but rather are born into it. Therefore we have a core value of collaboration across organizational and denominational lines, and everything we do is strongly driven by relationship. Often ministry looks like creating excuses to be with the people we love. We want to see every wall come down so that we can see a relational, powerful, functional family fill the earth. One Father.
