FUTURE BUILDERS PAKISTAN
Born into slavery.
Right now, countless children in Pakistan are living in a brutal reality that many of us cannot imagine. Born into slavery, they begin a life of hard labor from a very early age. They face hunger, lack of education, and a lifetime of making bricks.
An estimated 2-4 million people are trapped in modern-day slavery in Pakistan, many of whom are children. The majority are oppressed minorities, such as Hindus and Christians.
All too often they are beaten, and young girls are routinely abducted as sex slaves or forced to become child brides.
Their parents have fallen victim to predatory loans, trapping them in indentured labor from which they cannot escape. Unless something changes, these children are doomed to continue the generational cycle of poverty and bondage.
A Future & A Hope
Debt relief and livelihood investment are valuable ways to see families set free and lives changed. However, through providing quality education, we can catalyze generational transformation. When a child is educated, a world of possibilities is opened to them and their families, paving the way for a new way of life that can set the course for future generations.
We are working with qualified teachers and local leaders with a proven track record of helping students achieve test scores above the national average; looking after not only their academic needs, but providing them with the emotional, relational, and spiritual development to become the next generation of godly leaders in their nation.
