Pakistan

There are two areas that we are engaging to serve some of the most vulnerable in Pakistan. As always, we are moving in partnership with the local church, supporting their vision and adding strength where God has already positioned them.

For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink.
— Matthew 25:35

THE PERSECUTED CHURCH

Christians in Pakistan are a small minority, comprising less than 2% of the population. They can face violent persecution, discrimination, lack of access to employment, rampant human rights abuses, and tremendous pressure to renounce their faith. Over the past year, and continuing today, Christians have faced violence as extremists attack and burn their churches and homes.

In one such case, our team was on the ground when the earth was still hot from the fires. An entire village of Christians trapped in slavery was raided by extremists, burned and reduced to rubble on the night of Good Friday, 2024. This is one of many tragic instances of religious persecution currently happening. Thankfully, there were no casualties. We are working with international partners to provide urgently needed shelter and food to our brothers and sisters in their moment of crisis.

Join us in raising $26,500 to rebuild a village destroyed by extremists. Click the donate button below to partner.

MODERN-DAY SLAVERY

Many Christians in Pakistan are stuck in poverty caused by religious discrimination. Family crises force some to take loans from malicious lenders at brick kilns. The only option to pay off their debt is to work for the kiln. In reality, they are not able to pay off the debt with the abysmally low pay, so they accrue further debt. Even young children and senior citizens are forced to work in inhumane conditions for long hours, seven days a week. The debt is transferred from generation to generation. Many of these families face hunger. We are working with the local church and international partners to provide desperately needed food to these enslaved communities. By improving their physical health and lightening their financial burden, we hope to find open doors to freedom for these beloved children of God.
