OUR MISSION
To equip, resource, and empower native and near-culture believers to represent Christ among the unreached and those affected by poverty, oppression, and violence.
GLAD WORLD
We are gripped by the conviction that God has good plans for this world; that Jesus paid the price for the healing of the human race. He modeled true compassion through healing the sick, feeding the hungry, loving His enemies, and proclaiming the good news of God’s kingdom to the poor.
As His followers, we have taken up His Great Commission to announce and demonstrate this kingdom life in the remotest parts of the earth.
Since our beginning in 2013, we have devoted ourselves to serving the global body of Christ, to the end that the ministry of Jesus would be replicated among the unreached and the vulnerable.
From Himalayan slopes and Southeast Asian villages to conflict zones and disaster areas, brothers and sisters walk in power and love as they serve the poor and raise up disciples of Christ.

We equip through training and mentorship, adding tools and insight that enable local believers to serve more fruitfully and with less burnout.

Through years of real, trust-based relationship, we partner with local leaders by providing resources such as training materials, humanitarian aid, vehicles, and equipment.

The goal is to enable local believers to make a real impact in their community. Our ceiling is their floor. Through collaboration and empowerment, we want to help them to do greater things than we ever have.

We are strategically empowering indigenous followers of Jesus who are from or are adjacent to the target location. Our local partners have many God-given advantages that foreigners do not, making them effective, efficient, and innovative in kingdom work.

To holistically represent Christ looks like walking as He walked. Serving through the power of the Holy Spirit, preaching the gospel, making disciples, feeding the hungry, advocating for the oppressed, seeking out the marginalized, and loving enemies.

Unreached, or least-reached peoples refer to ethnolinguistic people groups that possess a population of less than 2% that follow Jesus. The Christian communities in these places are typically an isolated minority that is underrepresented and under-resourced to effectively reach their own people with the gospel.

Children from impoverished communities, families displaced by armed conflict, those trapped in slavery, and the persecuted church are all among those whom we are serving.
LEADERSHIP
Joel & Laci Hill
Founders
Joel & Laci founded Glad World in 2013. They work throughout Asia to raise up indigenous followers of Jesus as joyful catalysts of revival in their own communities. They are based in Thailand, where they are raising four sons. They have served in more than 20 different nations.
Matthew Leelapiyawat
Thailand Director of Operations
Matthew, together with his wife Tor, have been serving with Glad World since 2018 as they have been raising their two children. Matthew has a Masters of Christian Ministry from Bangkok Theological Seminary. He is currently serving as the President of the Glad World Thailand Foundation.
